JIM TREADWAY

Jim Treadway, founder, co-owner, and chief executive officer of MTM Luxury Lodging was well known for his 23 years with Westin Hotels and Resorts prior to his successful creation of MTM.

Treadway's career with Westin began in 1972. His managerial assignments included the Carlton Hotel in Johannesburg, Hotel Scandinavia in Oslo, and The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta. He served as managing director of The Olympic (now Fairmont) in Seattle, The Westin Hotel in Seattle, The Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles, and The Westin Kauai in Hawaii. In late 1990, he was promoted to senior vice president of operations for Westin, and in 1991 became president of the North American Division of Westin Hotels and Resorts, a position he held until the company was sold in mid-1995.

In early 1996, Treadway formed his own Seattle-based management company with two local partners - MTM Management, L.L.C., later to be re-named MTM Luxury Lodging. MTM specializes in operating high-end, full service, boutique, independent hotels and resorts, all of which are leaders in the markets they serve and are characterized by their unique attributes in the industry.

Treadway anticipates adding additional properties to MTM's portfolio in 2007 and beyond to build on the current successful openings of Ivy Hotel (San Diego) and The Liberty Hotel (Boston).

In 2003, with MTM partner James Simkins, and new partner Rob Fix, Treadway co-founded FST Asset Management L.L.C., a sibling company to MTM. FST specializes in asset managing upscale and luxury hotels for institutional owners, currently with 12 properties in that portfolio, now with an international presence.

In 2006, shortly after Marc Pujalet joined the company as a partner, Allegis, L.L.C. was created as a holding company for both MTM Luxury Lodging and FST Asset Management.
