BOKA restaurant+bar Announces Menu of Grown-up Popsicles and a Boozy Banana Split

SEATTLE (May 28, 2013) – Just in time for summer,  BOKA restaurant + bar in downtown Seattle has created a menu of Grown-Up Popsicles, which will be offered at Happy Hour pricing every Boozy Tuesday, along with a boozy banana split called Drunken Monkey.

Sunset Sail
Cube: orange, lemon juice, simple syrup, raspberries
Infusion: hibiscus, lime, and shiso leaf infused rum


Big Breezy
Cube: peach puree, lime juice, simple syrup, blueberries
Infusion: blueberry, orange infused vodka


Patio Punch
Cube: prickly pear, lime juice, simple syrup, mint leaves
Infusion: cucumber infused vodka


Drunken Monkey
(a.k.a. Boozy Banana Split)
Calvados ice cream; salty bourbon caramel sauce; chocolate stout fudge sauce; drunken bananas; brandied cherries; caramel corn


The frozen cube in each of BOKA’s Grown-Up Popsicles represents the mixer, including the garnish, which is served with a shot of its popular infusions on the side.  As the infusion is poured into the glass, the mixer cube melts rapidly, as the ingredients prevent it from being frozen solid completely.  As the cocktail is sipped, stirred and enjoyed it changes in both consistency and flavor. The boozy banana split was created in collaboration with BOKA’s pastry chef, Jennifer Formaz.

Along with this new menu, BOKA launches Boozy Tuesday, offering each Grown-Up Popsicle for $7 and $9 for the Drunken Monkey all day on Tuesdays.
